They Rule

An oldie but goodie example that I believe encapsulates much of the IGI idea. It invites users to choose a company or board chairperson and see the connections between the businesses and business leaders. You can create your own "six degrees of seperation" maps, share them and browse those made by others. The data base allows you to uncover as many or as few connections as you are interested in and it does not require you to have knowledge ahead of time about the relationshps. Created back in 2004:
